DEAD MAN WALKING; LYRIC REC: #7

Hello guys, just another update on my song ‘Dead Man Walking’ I personally think that it is nearly done to move to the finale versions of recordings but, still trying to achieve the classic lo-fi folk country genre. “I hope you do appreciate my songwriting and the way I capture the first verse. My main inspiration comes from artist like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Ray Lamontagne, Dolly Parton and Laura Marling and the 50s, 60s music.” I hope you can see my execution within my distinctiveness.

Hello, guys, just an update of a rough preview of my new version of my second verse ‘Dead Man Walking’. I changed the lyrics a bit just to make it sound more haunting and captivating within my true heart within this song I’m creating. When you listen please ignore the fizziness it was just that I was singing standing up and it made it sound rawer but, in a good way well I hope. I hope you do appreciate my songwriting and the way I capture the second verse. My main inspiration comes from artist like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Ray Lamontagne, Dolly Parton and Laura Marling and the 50s, 60s music.

Hello guys, here is another update based on my song I’m currently writing ‘Dead Man Walking’. Within this update is some ideas of my compositions of my ending of my song. I wanted the message to come across that the main character wanted to rest peacefully within his own bed and rest in heaven. This update I’m going to showcase a video snippet on my end, it’s still in progress, and new to sing but, I do hope you guys enjoy and remember that I wanted to express originality and within the country folk lo-fi old recording genre.

{BRIDGE}

THEIR PECKING, BREAKING MY BONES IN,
EXPLODING, RIPPING OF MY CHEST,
IN THIS WORLD HELL,
HAVE I LEFT,
AND MAY I LAY MY HEAD DOWN ON MY BED,
AND REST UP THOSE STAIRS,

So here is the preview. My main inspiration comes from artist like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Ray Lamontagne, Dolly Parton and Laura Marling and the 50s, 60s music.

Hello guys, continuing within my new song ‘Dead Man Walking’. I’m going to show of some ideas of my chorus the main message of my song. I wanted to tell a dark narration that the metaphor or the main idea was to express a scene that this person the ‘Cowboy’  is feeling dead ‘INSIDE’ that he just walks and continues with his life just feeling dead inside happily welcoming death. I also wanted to capture a western country desert vibe by using ‘Vultures’ to capture that scene of expressiveness.

{CHORUS}

I’M A DEAD MAN WALKING,
PLEASE MOVE ASIDE,
I’M COMING THROUGH IN MY OPEN COFFIN,
DUMPED DOWN IN MY MUDDY GRAVE,
BUT, THE BUGS ARE HERE TO STAY,
AND LOOK AT THE VULTURES THEIR FLYING HIGH,
ARE TARGETING ARE THEIR PREY,
THEIR WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL FEAST TODAY,

Here is just a little snippet of my emotions. I really do hope you guys enjoy my creativity my main inspirations were the classic old recording sounding like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan etc. It’s still not perfect but, I really enjoyed singing this.

Dead Man Walking; Lyric rec: #2

Hello, guys just another update on my new song I’m writing. ‘Dead Man Walking’ I really hoped you loved the first post I did for this song. Now, the second part aka the verse two. When I wanted to write this part I wanted to capture life as a metaphor but, within a scenario of characters. For example, when I say “Oh, Joan” She is the representation of people or a person who I experienced who will judge you and not believe in your circumstances.  And when I say “You should be feeling warm like the sun outside” I’m trying to say that sometimes life doesn’t understand why a person can suffer from anxiety or mental health frustrating and forcing the character to be okay. The final part of the song “I’m dead inside because of you” that’s me trying to state that this fella is dead inside because of life, not Joan. I hope that makes sense.

{VERSE TWO}

I HUNG MY HEAD,
I’M SUCH A SORE LOSER,
I SAW MYSELF,
SO LONESOME AND VERY TIRESOME,
OH WHY, OH WHY, OH WHY, OH WHY, OH JOAN,
WHY ARE YOU AIMING THAT GUN, AT MY CHEST,
BECAUSE OH JOHNNY YOU SHOULD BE FEELING WARM LIKE THE SUN OUTSIDE,
BUT DARLING OH DARLING NO,  IF YOU KNEW IM DEAD INSIDE BECAUSE OF YOU,

This is just a rough snippet on the version I really hope you guys enjoy my progression and creations. Until next time.

Dead Man Walking.

Hello guys, finally updating with some new lyrics material and also some snippet on the progression of my song.

Firstly my new song that I’m writing it’s called ‘Dead Man Walking’ it’s yet another dark song of mine it’s personal at some level I try and express some emotions that is mine, but I did get inspired by the stories of the old country music. This song I’m writing is about feeling dead inside every day that the narrative is about seeking something maybe peace? or forgiveness or to be at peace it’s a metaphor of life depression and etc. The main character is a cowboy going through hell and dirt just to get to his goal.

{VERSE ONE}

AND THIS COWBOY TREMBLES THROUGH A THORN BUSH,
FELL FROM THE CROSS,
HEAD FACED DOWN IN THE DIRT,
FLIRTING WITH THE SOIL,
SHOUTING, YELLING,
NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW HIS TUMOIL,
BLOOD STAIN ON BOTH OF HIS HANDS,
I ONCE WAS A YOUNG FOOLISH LAD,
I’M HERE ON THE FLOOR,
SO DESPERADO,
THE TEARS THAT I DRIED,
THIS COWBOY CRIED,

I also did a snippet just recently. Just you guys can get an idea of my executions. Truly at beginning stages.
