Dear, Mother “Lyric Rec #19”

Hello, guys, I’m currently writing my new song it’s called “Dear, Mother” I know I already wrote a story already based on the subject “Mama, Said” but, this time, it’s a different story and concept. I love history and the classic country songs, for example, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and so forth. I wanted to get a vibe of a story that a son goes to war but it is based on the second world war and basically just stating and expressing a journey that so many people witnessed leaving their families on the eve of battle I wanted to tell a story about and write about the mom side of things and basically the child is just telling her not to worry and everything be okay in the darkness and hopefully the child will see his mother again.  I’m so intrigued by history so I thought this would be amazing subject to write about, well trying to.

{VERSE 1}

HE LEFT A NOTE,
DEAR, MOTHER, DON’T CRY,
AND TRY AND KEEP YOUR HEART WARM,
SO, DON’T LET IT GET COLD INSIDE,
AND WHEN YOU LOOK UP IN THE NIGHT SKY,
YOU WILL SEE STARS IN MY, IN MY EYES,

{CHORUS 1}

DEAR, MOTHER,
I LOVE YOU SO,
YOUR BABY BOY,
LEFT YOU A ROSE,
SO DON’T LET IT DIE,
AND LIE IT DOWN,
NEXT TO THE MEADOWS,
WHERE THE SUNSHINES,
